One mile run


Recently, I competed in a race for one mile to help generate awareness for disabled athletes.  http://www.gopsusports.com/view.gal?id=185056 .  Can you find the Marine?  Finished 3rd place overall at 5 minutes and 32 seconds. 

Recovery through sports helps for re-integration.  The benefits of making the mind and body connection reduce symptom manifestation, lower anxiety levels, and release natural chemicals in the brain.  The military physical training helps condition one for performance, applying this habit post-war has a positive correlation to living a life with wellness. There are various organizations that are given tax dollars to help assist Veterans and service members with the ability to find purpose, meaning, and achievement in recreational, adaptive, and competitive sports.
